Outstanding service! Was looking to get a new mountain bike and visited a few places before making a final decision. I could have saved a lot of time an aggravation had I gone to East End first. The other places were trying to put me into what they were trying to get rid of, regardless of size or color I was feeling their pressure.. East End had a totally different approach, the owner brought me outside with a few different size bikes and explained the pros and cons of each, he even talked me out of a more expensive purchase because he knew I wouldn't be riding so rough and showed me a better alternative to suit my needs.. I settled on a New Trek Marlin 6 that he cleaned and made sure was perfect before I left, he included some quick tips and the official Trek manual with CD.. I wouldn't go anywhere else for a bike purchase.. Great experience...
Dan is one of the nicest and upfront guys in the business. We moved over an hour away and still go to only him for all our outdoor needs. He will make everything perfect for you and your family. I saw one review that said that some of the bikes are overpriced. You need to see the prices out East! 30 to 60% more without any service. Everything is extremely fair! We love this bike place and we love the friendly service. What a great asset to the Greater Long Island Community!

I have purchased a couple of bikes over the years and honestly I think they are way overpriced but I wanted to patron the local small business. The last bike I bought there was over $500 dollars and the tube burst the next day.Then I started to examine the bike more closely and the tire threads were worn. When I bought it back, he wanted to change me for a new tube and labor. I told Ron I was dissatisfied and they did nothing for me. I paid to have it replaced. fast forward again same bike... My son bought his bike in for a flat. He wasn't given an estimate and told to come back in an hour. We came back and he changed us $9 for the tube and $16 for the labor plus tax. I can get a car flat fixed for $20. I said I felt it was a lot and how I remember my mom used to change tubes on our bikes all time, He said "well maybe you should have your mom change it." The owner is the nastiest old man and his son is just as nasty. No more! I tried, the worst customer service. I always feel like I am getting ripped off! I will drive out of town.
Dan knows his bikes. I mostly go for parts tools and repairs, but I just bought a beech cruiser for my wife with a baby seat. We're very happy with it. I also bought my first BMX bike from him 21 years ago when he had the Mongoose store in Shirley. A 1996 Mongoose Menace. He is still doing a great job. Support your local Bike shop.
